For some time now, I have decided to use my social media profiles to communicate directly with citizens, on a more or less monthly basis: anyone can write by commenting on my post, for reflections, criticisms, or suggestions.

I called this space “Andrea Answers”, precisely to convey the desire to exchange ideas: sometimes even heatedly or in disagreement, but always with the spirit of improving both my knowledge of citizen sensitivities and the transmission of information about what we do.

I was particularly pleased to receive a call from the journalist Alessandro Tabarrani, who asked me if I would be available for an interview to be published in the newspaper “Il Tirreno”. I obviously accepted, and the interview was published on the local front page on Sunday, 27 September 2026.

Together we delved into the meaning of the column I opened: at the moment, many reports concern areas where the grass needs cutting or where waste abandoned by some uncivilised person needs removing. In the recent past, questions about the pier were more common, about when the ship that damaged it would be removed, and when and how it would be rebuilt. Sometimes I explain that what is requested of me does not depend directly or solely on the municipality, but that other bodies are competent, such as the Province, the Land Reclamation Consortium, the Civil Engineering Department, and the Tuscany Region. The citizen always has the Mayor as a point of reference, which is why they turn to us for everything.

Certainly, the PNRR construction sites will eventually lead to new questions in future editions of “Andrea Answers”: many new spaces available to the people of Massa and our tourists will inevitably generate curiosity, interest, and also criticism. You will be able to read everything and participate on my Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok profiles.
